Roses are Red, and Pink, and Yellow...

Kimberley came to play in my garden,
she brought balloons and a special gift tied with a big red bow.
This is her first time modelling and she was perfect

I'm making some pretty accessories soon to match my dresses, of which there will also be more soon, and knits and prints and polaroids.  My brain flowers have decided I can't post anything in my little shop until my new back drop that Barny is helping me build is made :) plans plans plans bobbing around on my horizon; the waters still a bit choppy, but I can see a cloud clearing.  Lot's of exciting stuff, but for now it's all about head-dresses...

Here are some delightful ones from Etsy Land:

Tales from The Treehouse

It's made more simple sometimes because I chose to create a blame and place it elsewhere, then I don't get sad.  Until he sings a song over lunch and I imagine his younger days and them, and dancing, and looking forward.  She sits and waits for you, she misses you from just there, she can't reach you.  I don't know where all the middle bit went; everything went from then 'till now and I know the fault is nowhere but all over, lost in the middle bit that vanished, just after we danced to your music in the living room and just before all the thinking took you elsewhere.  I don't know where you are going but I wish you'd stay.  I wish I would have seen the middle bit, instead of being so far away.

Tales from the Treehouse

It's hard to be near and far at the same time, but sometimes she has to and they like it like that.  Will your face be blurred? I'm not certain I'd like to see.  The only interest I should have is me but that place has been taken, placed before it and maybe unnecessarily so because to define either as not both is complicated.  There are some times where the following days I can see, imagining, are floating quiet rolling and green, but others words fly out and rest uneasy inside on the drum, banging on it until it's really loud.  I shake my head, but it won't go away this time, not like in that poem... because there are no imaginary places left to fall asleep in.  Just reality and I left my duvet there.  So I have to make them with my hands and pins, but they are really big and it's harder than I'd thought.

Little Trees...

* New frills for Burlesque Dancing Fairies in my shop looking for a wardrobe *
...and here they are photographed beautifully by Paul Larkins...

Eight new dresses inspired by the sea photographed with pretty jewels by The Lysine Contingency on their way soon - I'm thinking mid July.  More projects to follow... there will be giant rabbits, horses, forests, boats, big buttons, small secrets and frills to the floor...
because of all these dreams talking up my fingers I won't be making custom orders for a little while... but not forever.

The other day whilst on a trip I found this little guy and had to bring him home, his name is George and I think I'm going to grow him some friends from seed, maybe have a wall of little trees...

Tales from The Treehouse

I'm not a builder but bridges are what I'm crafting, learning things I never knew from those I hardly know.  Though truth is a stubborn thing that hides under rocks and grows cloudy with age like real lemonade so we can never really find it, even if and when it was in front of us.  But more about the speaker this telling tells, about how their insides feel now; they don't realise this, but I do, so when they are saying I'm only half listening, the other half is thinking and noting all their telling signs... the heart and the floorboards.  One day the way will be finished and the only bridges I will see are real ones I'll be sailing through for a boat is where I'll live, with no time to stop for long as the time will stop for long and that's the way I dream it.  The only dream I dream to dream to stop me from thinking, of all the things I can't do, like help you... I think you will be ok soon, when you get to where you want to be, maybe you will go back in time and stay forever young dancing to all our favourite songs.  Nanas are beautiful.  And Grandads too.

I want a boat

In the post one day came this beautiful necklace by Kathryn Crocker as part of my latest Flutterbydaisy Trade... this petal found a pretty fluttery dress I made for her then took it to play on her flowery swing in the forest... one day we will go for a picnic there together... lalalala...

Last night we made a Lady of Shallot set to take the photos, I'd like to live in it.  I want a boat now just that little bit more... one that really goes somewhere though, not this cardboard one.  That's it - I'm saving for a narrow boat to tour the canals of Britain then France... I wonder what I will call her... The Flutterby? too obvious?... hmmm; new postcards ahoy...

... Here are some more creations from Kathryn's Etsy shop...

... and some more delightful fairytale prints by Ginger Kelly I found whilst looking for The Lady of Shallot, clearly I especially love the one with the giant Bunny...

Tales From The Treehouse

Watched and wondered when the spell was cast... how we disassociate, from everything, from actual [human] nature.  I want to be a bear again, as maybe I was before, or still am (that's what I mean) and you are there already in the canopy and we can just go get lost far far away from all of this craziness.  It's the fairy story that was before and still is... and I have ticket(s).
